Meet the New Team at Murrumbateman Butchery

After 31 years, Kim and Louise Parker have made the decision to hang up their aprons, pack away their knives and embrace a new chapter in life. Handing the reins to an experienced, skilled and exceptional team who would continue to serve the community with a high standard and quality range was most important.

"Our customers became our friends, we're part of their meals and celebrations, we've watched their children grow up, employed them, and met their children's children. It'll be hard to leave that behind but the time has to come at some point." said an emotional Kim.

"Thirty one years is a long time, we've experienced a lot of changes across Murrumbateman and we know the new guys will do a great job" Louise added.

Out of the gates and straight to work, the new team are keen to build relationships with the community and are open 7 days while they set up and establish themselves. With an Italian heritage, we can expect to be treated to some authentic flavours and meal ideas.

"Much to the locals' relief, we're definitely keeping Kim's famous sausages" Luca laughed, "and Louise has graciously passed on her expertise with the range of pies. We're also keen to introduce a little of our Italian style with the marinated and crumbed range, and we're always open to suggestions and feedback."

In the coming weeks, you can stop in and introduce yourself and let them know your favourite cuts. Murrumbateman Butchery is open 7 days until further notice. Catch the new team inside Murrumbateman BP and Friendly Grocer from Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm, Saturday, 8:30am - 6pm, and Sunday 9am - 5pm.
